Advanced certifications for virtualisation experts

Citrix Systems has launched its advanced certifications for engineers and architects specialising in end-to-end virtualisation solutions.

According to the tech firm, which employs just under 5,000 people, the growing tendency for firms to direct IT budgets to the large-scale deployment of virtual servers and desktops, virtualisation skills are in high demand.

Its new qualifications, the Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer for Virtualisation, and the Citrix Certified Integration Architect for Virtualisation, are aimed at filling that gap in the market.

Julieann Scalisi, managing director of Citrix Education, said: "Professional certifications play an important role in career advancement and salary increases, and help open doors to employment."

He added that the new certifications reflect the changing nature of the IT industry and provide the skills required to make an impression in modern tech departments.

Citrix Systems was founded in 1989 and its corporate vision is, "a world where anyone can work and play from anywhere".
