Businesses confidence returns
Confidence among the business community is growing as firms begin to seize new opportunities.
According to Adrian Tripp, the chief executive officer of the European Business Awards (EBA) and Rosa Wilkinson, managing director of UKTI, companies are starting to embrace the challenges thrown up by the recent recession and economic downturn.
New figures from the EBA show that four out of five companies operating in the UK expect to return to growth next year - with a third of those looking overseas to expand.
The news will be good for finance and pharmaceutical recruitment and the rising tide of economic growth is likely to buoy other industry sectors as well.
Almost a third of companies said they were looking to diversify their products and services offerings - hinting at a possible increase in project managers recruitment.
Mr Tripp said: "For me it is a clear signal that there is a return to confidence across the business community not just in the UK but across Europe, as businesses wake up to new opportunities around the world."
The positive outlook comes as chancellor George Osborne sets out plans to stimulate the private sector recovery.
