British students study software developments with Vodafone
The next generation of British software and hardware developers have been learning from one of the country's most high profile telecommunications companies, thanks to a partnership between the University of Manchester and Vodafone.
A team of students currently reading for an MSc in Management and Information Systems at the university were invited to meet up with representatives from Vodafone Malta, forming part of a week-long study trip.
Building on the academic expertise fostered as part of the course, the overseas trip is intended to provide students with a real-world insight to the practical issues surrounding the development of IT infrastructure and software.
An annual event, the trip was praised by Vodafone Malta's IT and network services manager, Jeffrey Sultana.
"It is always a pleasure to meet eager students and to be able to share our practical experiences with them," he said.
"We hope our informal presentation will further stimulate their passion for information technology and global communications."
Vodafone is one of the UK's largest firms, rising to the top tier of the international mobile industry since its inception in 1984.
