Google rolls out develop tools for Google Buzz
Powerful new tools have been rolled out by Google that will allow developers to tap into topics of conversation on its social networking and messaging tool Google Buzz.
Google Buzz developers will now have access to the much-requested 'firehose' tool.
According to Google's blog, the firehose, which groups all public activities in a single place, was much-needed by its users.
Google stated: "With the firehose, all public activities are available as they are published with a single subscription, thanks to syndication via PubSubHubbub."
One way in which the feature can be used is an app engine inspired by Twistori called Buzz Mood, according to Google. This aims to give a snapshot of the Zeitgeist by looking at real time Buzzes.
Google said it will continue to "innovate and iterate" the Buzz API and encourage developers to look at new features and give their feedback on them.
