Minor things 'can hold back company websites'

Small errors are often responsible for companies' websites failing to engage with visitors as effectively as they can do, it has been suggested. Steve Simmonds, business manager at Design UK, made his comments at the recent Technology for Marketing & Advertising conference at Earls Court in London. He noted that regardless of a firm's online resource, errors on a website are significant and can negatively impact the way in which visitors to the site engage with it. "Sometimes it can be [something that's been] completely overlooked. It might just be a very minor thing but it's minor things that can [cause problems]," he added. The expert said it can often be surprising for companies to come across errors - which could include dead links, typos or coding mistakes - which affect their site's impact and recommended they get some ideas as to what works and what does not when designing their online resources.ADNFCR-2165-ID-19084991-ADNFCR
