Nokia notebook "natural evolution"
The launch of a Notebook PC by Nokia staff is a "natural evolution" for the digital media firm, it has been claimed.
Its Booklet 3G has been created in collaboration with Windows and aims to offer fast internet speeds on the move through Wi-Fi and mobile broadband.
Other features include video calling functions, a high definition-ready screen, an aluminium chassis and up to 12 hours of battery life.
Announcing the development, executive vice-president for devices Kai Oistamo claimed the technology will combine the power of a PC with the benefits of mobility.
"Nokia has a long and rich heritage in mobility and we [have created] something quite compelling. In doing so we will make the personal computer more social, more helpful and more personal," he said.
Those interested in purchasing the notebook will be able to gain further details at the Nokia World event on September 2nd.
In related news, the Finnish firm announced details of an email push service for AIS subscribers earlier this month.
