Adobe trains managers with e-learning courses

Adobe has revealed a number of its managers have been using its e-learning training. The firm told Personnel Today it has run more than 450 upskilling refresher sessions in the past third of the year. Many of the events were run using web resources such as networking sites and video conferencing. Course topics included how to handle the changing business environment and how to offer employees constructive criticism. Zoe Spicer is the organisation's human resources manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa and told the news provider it was a more efficient way of ensuring staff were prepared for the challenges of the coming months. "We can't have programmes that meet all 1,000 employees' requirements, so this is a very targeted enablement strategy that will encourage our managers to remember the basics," she added. Doing this can also help keep staff engaged – and retain their services if they are headhunted by other firms, Ms Spicer concluded. In related news, e-learning developer Skills2Learn recently won the Training Initiative of the Year gong at the H&V News Awards.ADNFCR-2165-ID-19189413-ADNFCR
