New Firefox browser is a "milestone"

Firefox's new browser release is a "milestone", according to Mozilla. Its 3.5 Beta four version was released on the firm's website yesterday, a sneak-peak for feedback and developer testing. It can be downloaded by Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux users. A raft of new features are included in the software, including 70 native tongues and Location Aware Browsing Software. Privacy controls have also been improved - such as a new security-focused browsing mode – and there is enhanced performance with the new TraceMonkey JavaScript innovation. HTML5 functions are in the package, along with support for native JSON. Announcing the release on its blog, the company said: "[It] is focused on testing the core functionality provided by many new features and changes to the platform scheduled for Firefox 3.5". It added that the constantly-updated plans for the 3.1 version could be monitored at the Firefox 3.5 Planning Centre. The organisation has also made a Firefox 3.0.10 stability download available from its site.ADNFCR-2165-ID-19142358-ADNFCR
