Spotify offers app to Apple

Digital media developers
at Spotify have come up with an app for Apple's iPhone, but there has been no word yet on whether the Steve Jobs-founded firm will accept the software.

The music service - which was launched in October last year - allows users to stream millions of tracks.

Although it was free at launch, a premium service is available to those who wish to avoid having to listen to adverts between songs.

On the official Spotify website, the company announced it is these customers that will be able to use the platform on Apple's devices "in a few weeks".

Posting a demonstrational video on its blog, the organisation explained it had been "burning the midnight oil" in order to come up with the conversion.

"Late last week we put the finishing touches to a very special project we’ve been wanting to share with you for a while now," global community manager at the firm Andres Sehr said.

He added the development will allow individuals to enjoy content regardless of whether their device is connected to the internet.
