Cost Controller

G2 are currently looking for a Cost Controller to join our client based in Bristol. The client is particularly interested in candidates with a background with projects finance, the best suited background would be in engineering or construction.

The preference would be for a Cost Controller with experience coming from within the engineering, production, manufacturing or construction sector.

The client is working on major design and build packages for international projects. You would be involved throughout the total project lifecycle, working with the head of projects control.

START: ASAP

SALARY: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum

LOCATION: Bristol, Avon (UK)

• have at least 4 years experience in projects finance, cost control or administration
• have excellent Microsoft excel skills (i.e. well above the standard I can use a spreadsheet),
• knowledge of profit and loss, analysis and reporting
• have extensive knowledge of cost reporting (i.e. CVR, ACWP, CTG, AFC, cost and cash forecast periodically),
• be able to undertake ad-hoc commercial / finance tasks as the project requires
• be an excellent communicator
• be commercially aware of change / variations / cost increases
• be able to challenge cost growth

The client requires a cost controller who is able to work with the existing team, supporting the projects, design and construction teams. You will be involved with projects finance, cost reporting, procurement, estimation of costs and analysis of profit and loss through a global projects team.

The role is working on one of the largest infrastructure projects on the plant and they are anticipating work up until 2026 in the first instance. The client then has further projects work running until 2032.
