Housing Standards Manager

G2’s client down in the South of England are seeking an experienced Housing Standards Manager to join their service to cover a long term sickness period of 6 months +.

They are a local authority client that are a stable team that look after mostly Private Sector Housing duties but also do some Environmental Protection duties (waste, pests, accumulations).

Experience they are looking for:

• Recent local authority experience dealing with running a Private Sector Housing Team.
• Strong technical knowledge within Private Sector Housing in particular looking after HMO properties and dealing with enforcement based actions required. A fair amount of the authorities stock is private rented sector older properties so Housing conditions are not always at the right standard.
• Be capable of managing a team of 9.
• Office presence will be once per fortnight or even monthly.
• If you have dealt with Energy Efficiency projects previously this would be a bonus.
