Locum Contracts and Procurement Lawyer

My client who are a local authority within the East Midlands are seeking an experienced Locum Contracts and Procurement Lawyer on a 12 month assignment. The rate is negotiable but is Umbrella paid, therefore inside of IR35 and it will be a WFH/Remote based position.

The role will have you looking after a wide variety of work such as:

• Advising on contracts for services and goods of varying contract values and complexity for procurement’s.
• Looking after the Council’s IT contracts for procurement, professional services contracts and consultancy agreements, grant funding agreements from various funding bodies for capital projects, revenue projects and mixed, procuring goods and services through framework agreements.

As it is a general procurement and contracting role it may also require advice on ancillary legal matters such as TUPE, subsidy control, GDPR/data protection, subsidy control etc as part of this assignment.

If you have recent local authority experience and have 5 + year’s PQE then this may be the right role for you.
