Systems Engineer – Freelance – Multiple Locations – Hybrid

We are currently working with a client based in the United Kingdom who is looking for System Engineers to join their team on a freelance basis. Our client is an industry leader in the engineering sector and is offering a 12-month contract with possible extensions thereafter.

This project can be done from Luton or Bristol and you are required onsite 2x days per week maximum, the rest of the week can be done remotely.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop technical solutions at bid stage
• Create engineering management plans
• Create use cases that support bid storyboards
• Define requirements analysis and management on assigned projects
• Create sub system requirement specifications
• Create design documentation for design reviews
• Ensure solutions are ready to enter design reviews
• Ensure product roadmaps are created and adhered to

Your profile:

• Previous professional experience in a similar role
• Experience of requirements management
• Experience of verification and validation (V&V) activities to achieve certification
• Experience of showing traceability of V&V tests to systems requirements and generating/updating Verification Matrices (VCRMs)
• Experience in MBSE
• The ability to create high-quality documentation (test specifications, procedures and reports etc)
• Security cleared is ideal but not mandatory

Rate: dependent on level of experience

Remote work: 3 days remote work per week
