Deputise for the Director as required
Leading a portfolio of services including
- HRA Estate management
- Tenancy sustainment
- Tenant regulation
- CCTV (Shared Service)
- Housing solutions
- Homelessness prevention
- Income Management
- Housing Options
- Sheltered Housing and Supported Housing
- Corporate Lead for Emergency Planning
To provide line management for the Head of Housing solutions and Head of Housing Management
To ensure that all service areas are delivered in an effective and efficient manner that is responsive to customer needs
Member of Corporate Management Team
Management of performance and completion and presentation of performance management reports
Writing and presenting reports for a variety of audiences including elected members
Attendance at Cabinet and Scrutiny committees as required
Attendance at the Tenants Consultative Group
Contributing to the development of key policies including service development
Ensure the progress of key policies including
- Scoping delivery of Homeless and Rough Sleeping Strategy
- Evaluation of the Homelessness Hub commissioned Services
- Delivery of the ‘House Project’ in partnership with Staffordshire County Council
- Continued Development of the Tenant Engagement and Involvement Project
Expectations
Fulfils the primary responsibility for day to day /operational effective delivery of service delivery and functions within their specific area
Overseeing projects, managing service plans/schedules and co-ordinating activities
Strong financial management Championing Equality Diversity and Inclusion.
Production of reports, managing performance and risk
Responsible for the delivery of services which is consistent with the organisational values and other requirements
Maintaining positive relationships with customers, clients and stakeholders
Managing contracts
Maintaining effective working relationship with members
Supporting Executive Leadership Team with escalating issues as required
Developing and proposing effective solutions to organisational/service issues
Experience and Skills
- Experience of managing within a housing setting
- Understanding relevant legislation, regulation and good practice
- Experience of effectively managing budgets and driving excellent performance
- Experience of managing and supporting people
- Experience of building productive partnerships
Home Working arrangements
The role is primarily based working from home however the post holder will be expected to attend in the office as required. It is estimated that office based activity equates to an average of two days per week. This will however be based on business needs.
Office based activity will include-
Attendance at management meetings and portfolio briefings during working hours
Evening attendance (6-8pm) at Committee and consultative meetings during
