Assistant Technical Manager / Lead Engineer

Technical Manager / Lead Engineer – Overijssel, The Netherlands – HV Electrical Substations

DURATION: 18 months
LOCATION: Overijssel, The Netherlands
WORKING PATTERN: 2/3 days in office, rest from home.

I am currently looking for a Technical Manager / Lead Engineer to join my client based in Overijssel, The Netherlands.
The client is currently working on high voltage substation projects across The Netherlands which range from 110 KV to 380 KV. They require someone with experience and understanding of high voltage electrical substation design and engineering, this role would be to manage a team focussing solely on the engineering aspects of the projects.
These projects will require the Technical Manager / Lead Engineer to work in office at least two times a week in Overijssel, with home working offered for the rest.


  • You have 5-10+ years of relevant work experience as a Lead Engineer or Technical Manager within the engineering aspects of project in the high voltage, electrical, substations, power industry.
  • Technical electrical and instrumentation engineering background & experience.
  • Oversee the processes of engineering, client requests and requirements and troubleshoot issues on site.
  • Experience managing and executing projects from an EPC point of view.
  • Dutch language skills.

Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
