Ballistics & Calibration Engineer

📣 Ballistics & Calibration Engineer – Permanent Position – Aberdeen – 30-37.5k 📣

I am recruiting for Ballistics & Calibration Engineer for a client I’m working with based out of Surrey.

The Engineer will be working as a permanent member of staff with a salary range between 30-37.5k

The role is on-site in the office 5 days a week. The office based in Surrey, England.

Essential Requirements:

  • Test and validation of new and existing products.
  • Calibration of new and existing customer installations.
  • Ability to capture, test and analyse data from test programmes.
  • Problem solving on repairs and calibrations.
  • Develop test and quality procedures for products through from design, to manufacture and build.
  • Ensure accurate documentation is produced following testing.

Experience of software in C+ and C++.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Software – familiar with LabVIEW.
  • API Interface to National Instruments hardware: counter/timers ADC etc
  • Electronic hardware interface skills, testing, use of oscilloscopes, multi-meters, timer/counters Database utilisation experience.
  • Debugging, finding and rectifying faults, identifying potential improvements.
  • Preparation of system design documents & participation in design reviews.
  • Preparation of test and configuration procedures, updating training manuals.
  • Interest in mechanical assembly, cabling and wiring.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

Kane joined g2 in April 2023 as an Academy & Systems Trainer.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
