Building Safety Data Officer

To assist in providing an effective buildings and property related service in respect of all the Council’s land and buildings throughout the District. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (a) To assist with the input and updating of data within the Council’s asset management software system. (b) To assist with the management of various property related legislative requirements associated with the Council’s property portfolio including Asbestos, Legionella, Fire Safety, Gas Servicing, Electrical Testing etc. This may include the need to undertake site inspections, updating data records within tf.cloud and any other associated tasks of a similar nature. (c) To assist with scheduling and on occasions undertaking inspections on site to ensure that the Council’s property portfolio is maintained adequately and that any health & safety issues are dealt with appropriately including arranging and monitoring the taking photographs, completing inspection records, establishing repair liabilities and arranging remedial works. (d) To liaise with internal clients, tenants/lessees of Council property, members of the public etc. to ensure that the service provided meets their needs in accordance with the Council’s obligations. Page 2 of 4 (e) To assist with capturing and inputting Stock Condition Survey data electronically via a hand held device directly in to tf.cloud. (f) To assist with providing dedicated technical and administrative support within the Team including the raising of works orders to external contractors and the processing of invoices for payment. This will also include the monitoring compliance by performance management of the councils R&M contractor. (g) To keep abreast of technical developments, health and safety legislation and contractual practises in so far as they relate to this post. (h) To undertake any further similar duties that may from time to time be required of the post holder, which are appropriate to the responsibilities of the post

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
