Community Safety Officer – Policy

A local authority client of mine within London are seeking an experienced Community Safety Officer for a contract until November 2023 which may well extend.

This role will be hybrid working but due to the nature of Community Safety work you might need to be out on site but this role is mostly Policy based. Mostly their current team work 2-3 days on site in the office/on district.

Experience the client is looking for:
– Extensive knowledge around Community Safety within a Local Authority or Housing Association background.
– Be competent with creating, reviewing and presenting policies/procedures and legislation around Community Safety and Antisocial Behaviour (Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014).
– Be able to handle an ASB caseload of a mixture of things such as Nuisance/Rough Sleeping/Residential complaints.
– Be able to work multi agency with the Police and other parties/teams inside the Council.

This role will be negotiable and paid on a daily rate via umbrella. Interviews are being held later this week.

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
