Construction Manager

g2 Recruitment are currently looking for a Construction Manager to work on an opportunity chemical sector in Rotterdam. The role is to work on an opportunity chemical sector in Rotterdam. The client is working on a portfolio of brownfield capex projects and require a Construction Manager for 12 months initially, which could extend.

The client is a chemical plant owner based in Rotterdam and require a construction manager with relevant experience delivering capex projects on an existing facility. You would be managing a team but also have to get involved in hands-on supervision.

START: ASAP

LOCATION: Rotterdam

Contract length - 12 Month Contract (possible to extend for another year)

Specification:

· At least 5-10+ years experience as a site / construction manager on chemical sector Capex projects.

· English fluency.

· Experience instilling good health & safety activities on site.

· Mechanical / piping projects on oil & gas, refineries, chemicals plants

· Experience with green and/or brownfield projects.

· Awareness of commercial / contractual aspects of projects.

The requirement for the role is to supervise all construction works on the live construction site. Responsible for effective construction, health and safety and successful project completion.

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
