Customer Service Officer
My client is seeking a skilled Temporary Customer Service Officer to support our local authority client. This role is focused on handling council tax inquiries and requires a Welsh-speaking individual to provide exceptional customer service to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for council tax inquiries, assisting residents through various channels including phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Address and resolve questions related to council tax billing, payments, exemptions, and account changes.
- Process applications, adjustments, and updates related to council tax efficiently and accurately.
- Provide clear and accurate information about council tax policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive support for all council tax-related issues.
Requirements:
- Fluent in Welsh and English, with strong communication skills in both languages.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within a local authority or similar public sector environment.
- Knowledge of council tax processes and regulations is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using customer service and administrative software.
