EHCP Writer

G2 Recruitment are working alongside our client to hire up to two EHCP Writers on a contract basis.

Contract length: 6 Months

Rate: Negotiable DOE

Hours: 37 hours per week

Working Pattern (Flexible Hours/Remote): Fully remote, full time preferred, equipment will be couriered to you

Job Purpose

My local authority client, who have recently completed a large restructure, has a large backlog of EHCPs and requires an experienced EHCP Writer to help deal with the backlog for this.

Responsibilities

  • Collate all relevant information from families, professionals and support services in relation to individual CYP to populate their EHC Plan.
  • Interpret and adhere to the principles and statutory processes described in the SEN Code of Practice and ensure that the statutory timescales are achieved.
  • Contribute to the development of best practice and procedures relating to Education, Health and Care Plan writing.

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience working as an EHCP Writer (or equivalent relevant post)
  • Experience working as an interim in this space

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
