As part of this exciting growth, we’re looking for a talented and motivated E&I Project Engineer with strong project management and technical engineering expertise to join their European team.

 

The Opportunity

 

As an E&I Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering major capital and improvement projects across multiple sites in Europe. This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring close collaboration with internal engineering teams, project managers, and external contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.

You’ll combine your deep technical knowledge in electrical and instrumentation systems with proven project management skills to drive projects from design through to commissioning.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the electrical and instrumentation scope within multi-disciplinary industrial projects
  • Manage project activities from feasibility, design, and procurement through to installation and commissioning
  • Ensure all electrical and control systems comply with technical standards, safety regulations, and project specifications
  • Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and automation teams to deliver integrated project solutions
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and contractors effectively to achieve on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Conduct risk assessments and promote best practices in safety and quality

 

About You
  • Degree-qualified in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, or related Engineering discipline
  • Proven experience delivering E&I projects within industrial, manufacturing, or process environments
  • Strong project management capability with experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Flexible to travel and work across multiple European sites for project delivery
  • A proactive problem-solver with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

Kane joined g2 in April 2023 as an Academy & Systems Trainer.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
