Engineering Project Manager

Our client is currently looking for a Project Engineering Manager to work on a variety of offshore vessel projects. The projects are specifically related to Hull design, engineering and analysis.

The client primarily works on vessels for the offshore Oil & Gas industry, they are happy to consider candidates coming from all industries although tankers, cruise liners, FPSO, FSO, Semi Subs and similar vessels are most applicable.

The customer will be working on full cradle to grave project delivers, you will be working as the project engineering manager managing a small team of technical engineers working through a variety of hull and structural packages.

LOCATION: Rotterdam (Working visa supported)

RATES: Good salaries or daily rates

The client has confirmed they will consider long term contract and permanent candidates

Technical Requirement:

  • Naval engineering background – Hull engineering, design and analysis
  • Engineering analysis – ANSYS, Staad, FEMAP or similar tools
  • Experience managing technical teams
  • Knowledge of offshore vessels (Tankers, Cruise Liners, FLNG, Semi Subs or FPSOs)
  • Knowledge of international marine standards
  • Ability to work from the office and home

The client has advised they have the opportunity to carry out first stage meetings before Xmas, they are happy to consider all candidates, inclusive of those who require a working visa for the Netherlands.

They are happy to consider consultants who are available in either Q1 or Q2 next year, as they are currently looking to build out their team. They will also support working visas.

Our Three Pillars of Training

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

Kane Gray
Systems & Academy Trainer

Kane joined g2 in April 2023 as an Academy & Systems Trainer.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
