Environment, Health and Safety Manager

About the role:

g2 Recruitment’s client is looking for an HSE Manager to oversee health, safety, and environmental protocols for their ongoing oil and gas projects. This role is based in Rotterdam, with occasional travel to nearby offshore and onshore facilities, and involves working 5 days per week for a duration of 16 months, starting as soon as possible.

START: September 2024 (ASAP)

LOCATION: Rotterdam

CONTRACT LENGTH: 16 Months

Specification:

  • 7+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on HSE management
  • Proficiency in Dutch is required; English is a strong advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the oil and gas sector
  • Proven experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and manage teams effectively

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSE strategies and initiatives in alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, and risk assessments across the refinery and associated facilities
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with Dutch and international HSE regulations and environmental standards
  • Provide training and support to project teams on HSE matters, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility
  • Monitor HSE performance metrics and report findings to senior management

These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
