Environmental Advisor

Good morning,

I am currently looking for an Environmental Advisor to join a client of mine operating in the Chemical Industry for a 12-month period, based in the Amsterdam area.

The client is looking for an Environmental Advisor (HVK/ MVK) to work on a freelance opportunity within the Chemical Industry. The client has a specific requirement for an Environmental Advisor to join their team based on their site in the Amsterdam area, this is an operational role and is suitable for both freelance and Permanent Candidates.


LOCATION: Amsterdam, Netherlands

CONTRACT LENGTH: 12 months (Payroll/BV) Freelance or Permanent

HOURS: 40 hours per week.

Environmental Advisor – Chemical Industry – Amsterdam


  • At least 5 years’ experience within Environmental HSE
  • MVK qualification minimum
  • Chemical production site experience
  • Knowledge of Dutch Environmental Legislation
  • A motivation to drive good safety practice and change to position behaviour
  • Hands-on management style
  • Comfortable giving toolbox talks and presentations
  • Dutch and English speaking

The requirement for the role is for the Environmental Advisor to ensure the ongoing chemical projects are compliant with Dutch environmental regulations and targets, whilst also liaising with site teams, governmental bodies and stakeholders.

The client has advised that they require an Environmental Advisor that has Dutch language skills. They are able to interview successful candidates as early as next week.

Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
