Overview
One of my local authority clients based within the Midlands are currently on the search for a Senior Environmental Health Officer.
Role Duties:
Investigating, inspecting, and enforcing a variety of statutory obligations targeted at safeguarding and enhancing the environment and public health will be your responsibility.
The role covers food safety, health and safety, infectious diseases, industrial and commercial waste and nuisance, and animal welfare. They are an active, friendly, and professional workforce. Although most officers operate in either commercial nuisance or food safety and health and safety, there is room to grow your expertise and skill set across disciplines with Nottingham City Council’s help and encouragement.
Two of your workdays will need to be spent on site, while the other three will be spent working from home.
Requirements:
- A CIEH Registered Environmental Health Practitioner in Environmental Health recognised by the CIEH and EHORB registered.
- Minimum 2 years experience working within local authorities.
- Excellent expertise and background in environmental health enforcement.
- The capacity to set priorities and control your workload in a dynamic setting to smash deadlines.
- Flexibility in work, including the ability to work some after regular officer hours.
