Environmental Health Officer – Food

Client – Council

Location – Greater Midlands

Rate – £ Negotiable Based on Experience

Duration – Minimum of 6 Months

Working Style – Hybrid for district inspections but based from home.

A local authority client of mine within the Greater Midlands are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer to join their Food and Health & Safety team.

This role is a 6 month rolling contract and is to join a friendly team that are relatively small in size.

The role will involve you dealing with various types of Food Hygiene Visits/Inspections and Complaints based tasks. Category B-E are the most frequent types of inspections you will be doing. The Council also operate a Duty Desk which you will need to be on a rota for.

You can be based at home and can expect to have to visit the district 2-3 times per/week depending on workload.

To be considered you will need to be a fully qualified Environmental Health Officer and have your Food Hygiene competencies up to date.

Experience with Uniform IT system is also essential.

These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
