One of my local authority clients are currently on the lookout for a Payroll & Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
Payroll & Finance Manager
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: South East England
Salary:£51,642 + market supplement of £5,180
Start Date: ASAP
Hours p/w: 37
Hybrid working: X1 per fortnight in office as an absolute minimum.
Main Duties:
– Manage a team of 7 who have varying level of experience and accounting qualifications.
– Direct responsibility for payroll, debt write offs, debtors and creditors reporting.
– Consolidate statutory accounts and report to the board and councillors.
Successful candidates:
– MUST be CIPP qualified (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals).
– Have experience running payroll and know the policies & legislation inside and out.
– Have an understanding of operational accounting procedures: debtors and creditors, managing loans, invoices, getting through audits etc.
– Extensive management experience.
