Financial Analyst

About the role:

Our client, a prominent player in the aviation industry, is seeking a highly skilled Freelance Finance Process Analyst to join their finance team for a 12-month project. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing, optimizing, and streamlining financial processes to enhance efficiency and support the company’s financial objectives.

Specification:

  • Process Analysis and Optimization:
  • Evaluate existing financial processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial processes with business goals.
  • Financial Data Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to support decision-making.
  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to track financial performance and identify trends.
  • Process Documentation:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of finance processes, workflows, and procedures.
  • Ensure that all process changes are clearly documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Work closely with finance, accounting, and IT teams to ensure process changes are implemented smoothly.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to gather requirements, present findings, and secure buy-in for process changes.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Finance Process Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in the aviation or transportation industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully analyzing and optimizing financial processes.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in financial analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SAP, Oracle Financials).
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • On-Site: 2 days per week at the client’s office in Brussels.

Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
