Health and Safety Environment Officer

We are currently looking for an Onshore Safety Officer to join my client based in North Holland, our client is a major Oil & Gas Operator and is looking for a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to provide the necessary HSEQ leadership to support On/Offshore operations.

You will be working with the Operations, Drilling (on-& offshore) and the HSEQ Department to ensure the highest HSEQ standards are met.

The job demands advanced knowledge in a technical/professional discipline which is applied in analysis and resolution of problems and provision of specialist advice to the organisation. You will be expected to advise operational teams on health, safety and environmental matters in accordance with Dutch Laws and Regulations, whilst also establishing and improving new and existing procedures/processes.

Your main duties will include incident investigations in cooperation with the offshore teams, assisting with presentation preparation, creating and driving HSEQ initiatives / programs. In addition to preparing and communicating HSEQ related pre-documentation for the combined activities and interfaces.

LOCATION: North Holland

DURATION: 12 month+

RATES: Dependent on experience

Required Skills/Experience

  • HVK/ or equivalent certification.
  • Valid Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET)
  • Offshore HSE experience 5+
  • Computer Literacy
  • Experience in Incident investigation using the COMET methodology or similar.
  • Root Cause Analysis Investigation.
  • Experience with HAZID/HAZOP studies.

The client has advised that they are happy to engage with consultants for 12 month+ period with the option to extend or move into permanent riles at the end of this time period.
