Health Safety Environment Advisor

About The Role:

Our client are looking for a HSE Advisor to work on a freelance basis on their renewable energy project. Our client has a specific requirement for the HSE Advisor to work updating HSE standards, improving HSSE alerts and repository of root cause analyses and supporting safety roll out training.

START: March 2025

LOCATION: Rotterdam, Netherlands

CONTRACT: 3 - 6 months (Freelance + extension)

Hours: 3 - 5 days a week - 32 - 40 hrs (2 days home working possible)

Responsibilities:

Our client requires the HSE Advisor to join their team to help review and prepare new HSE E-learning modules, retire old HSE documents, prepare for HSSE conferences and global HSE events and share HSE information with the global team and HQ.

Requirements:

  • 5 + Years' experience in tank terminal / petrochemical industry
  • MVK/HVK/IOSH/NEBOSH Safety Degree or similar certification
  • Ideally experience with Seveso, BRZO or Comah sites
  • Living locally to Rotterdam region
  • English or Dutch professional language skills

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
