Role – Housing Solutions Assistant/Housing Register Officer

Rate – Negotiable per/hour DOE
My local authority client in the East Midlands are seeking an experienced Housing Solutions/Options Assistant to join their team for a minimum of 3 months, with a likelihood of an extension.
If you have a good understanding around Homelessness/Housing Solutions then this could be a great role for you.
The role will be based in the office 2 x per/week and 3 days working from home remotely. IT equipment will be provided by the local authority.
The key IT packages you need to be competent with using are Abritas (for Housing Register), Enterprise (for Document Storage).
To be considered you will need to have recent local authority Housing experience within the last 12 months.
The role will involve but not be limited to:
- Processing and requesting various information from applicants wanting to join the Council’s Housing Register.
- Maintain and update Housing databases, files and records.
- Undertaking admin duties related to things such as choice based lettings, housing solutions and registering new applicants to the housing register.
- Gather information from initial homeless presentations and then refer the serious cases over to more Senior Officers.
Due to the nature of the work you will need to have clear basic DBS check that is dated within the last 12 months.
