HSE advisor - Brussels Metropolitan Area - 18 month contract - Start ASAP

We are looking for a full-time HSE advisor in the Brussels Metropolitan area.
My client is a large international construction company with exciting new projects in and around Brussels. They have multiple positions open for freelance HSE advisors on an 18-month contract.

START: ASAP

Key responsibilities:

  • Working with a team identifying risks, giving advice about those risks to help planning and collaborating with other teams.
  • Contribute to innovative projects.
  • Ensure that the plant runs according to the latest Health and Safety practices.
  • Conduct incident investigations and advise on improvement actions.

Essential criteria:

  • Prevention advisor level 2 or 1.
  • 5+ years of experience in HSE.
  • Good knowledge of local and international HSE regulations (e.g., ISO 14001, 45001, 9001, etc.).
  • Committed and motivated person with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Innovative and result-oriented.

Desirable criteria:

  • Fluent in French, Dutch and English.
  • Worked mainly in the construction industry.

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant.
