HV Substation Testing Support Engineer

We’re currently supporting a confidential client on a high-profile renewable energy infrastructure project and are looking to engage experienced freelance professionals for a short-term assignment.

Project Location: Poland

Duration: Approx. 3 months – Immediate start

Role: HV Substation Testing Support Engineer

Openings: 2 to 4 positions

 

Scope of Work:

  • Supervision and technical verification of HV GIS Substation Control, Protection, and Interlocking Tests
  • Tests are performed by other teams – your role is to support, supervise, and check the technical correctness
  • Review documentation and test results to ensure compliance and performance integrity

 

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in HV substation environments
  • Strong understanding of HV feeder protection relays, interlocking schemes, and control logic
  • Basic knowledge of GIS (Gas-Insulated Switchgear) systems

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
