Mechanical Commissioning Engineer
Location: Warrington, UK (Onsite)
Contract Length: 3-6 Months (Outside IR35)
Rate: DOE Outside IR35
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Commission Engineer to join this team in Warrington for an exciting 3 month contract, with the potential for extension up to 6 months. This position is aimed at professionals with a solid background in mechanical engineering and a proven track record in commissioning activities.
Responsibilities may include:
- Manage and finalize quality assurance (QA) for piping and equipment.
- Provide support during construction to ensure mechanical completion.
- Conduct visits to the fabrication shop.
- Perform quality control inspections on-site during construction.
- Verify the accuracy of progress reports.
- Conduct pre-commissioning tests on installed pressure vessels, storage tanks, and piping, including boilers with TUV.
- Register piping systems manage QA and send documents for natural gas and steam lines.
- Offer technical assistance for questions from designers and contractors.
- Contribute to studies assessing the importance of spare parts.
- Review documents from designers and installation contractors for client approval.
- Oversee the pre-commissioning and cleaning of piping after construction is completed.
