Mechanical Project Engineer

About The Role:

Our client are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to work on a freelance basis on their projects located in the greater Groningen area. Our client has a specific requirement for the Mechanical Project Engineer to manage the mechanical perspective of their projects.

START: March/April 2025

LOCATION: Greater Groningen, Netherlands

CONTRACT: 12 months (Freelance + extension)

Hours: 5 days a week - 40 hrs (1 day home working possible)

Responsibilities:

Our client requires the Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team to communicate with contractors, review what chemicals will be used on their projects, review their piping structure and review material lining used in their tanks.

Requirments:

  • 2 + Years' experience in tank terminal / petrochemical industry
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or similar certification
  • Living locally to the Greater Groningen Area
  • Dutch professional language skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
