Pollution Control Officer

INTERVIEWS THIS WEEK – Pollution Control Officer – West Midlands

One of my local authority clients based in the West Midlands are currently on the lookout for X2 Pollution Control Officers to join their team on an interim basis.

Pollution Control Officer – Part Time or Full Time

You will be primarily assisting with the councils works in relation to noise, nuisances, planning applications, environmental permits etc. both domestically and commercially.

Previous experience doing the above is essential as there will be an expectancy to come in and hit the ground running.

You will be required on site X3 days per week with their being scope for the remaining X2 days per week to be worked remotely.

The ideal preference for this position is for someone to work full time working hours (37 per week) with X3 days being worked on site and X2 days remotely however there may be flexibility for part time work should this be your preference along with possibly increased remote working.

Pollution Control Officer (HS2) – Part Time or Full Time

You will be primarily assisting the Council with works in relation to the High Speed 2 (HS2) project through working on noise barriers, assessing vibrations, Schedule 17 applications and also Section 61’s in relation to construction sites under CoPA.

Previous experience doing the above is essential as there will be an expectancy to come in and hit the ground running.

HS2 specific work will be part-time over X3 days, but should your preference be for full-time hours then there is the need for additional work across Environmental Protection within the council to make up the hours.

Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
