Project Control Specialist

We are looking for a Project Controller / Project Controls Engineer to join my client in Amsterdam on an initial 12-month contract working on cost control and planning for projects within the petro(chemical) industry.

The client requires someone to work on project controls, including planning, cost budgeting and risk analysis of an annual capex budget of €50m. The portfolio of the client is up to 20 projects per year. My client is mainly involved in projects relating to (petro)chemical, oil & gas as well as some renewables, these projects extend into power plant construction and maintenance, offshore windfarms and more.

Project Controller / Project Controls Engineer Specification:

START: January (Interviews commencing in December).

LOCATION: Amsterdam, Netherlands

DURATION: 12 Month Contract (long term opportunity and extension possible).

Essential Skills:

Project cost control, risk analysis and budget forecasting/reporting experience.

Experience using SAP-ERP and Excel for cost control and resource planning.

Experience working on the client side in engineering and construction projects is essential, any experience working in relevant (petro)chemical, oil & gas or renewables industries are beneficial.

Handling budget up to €50 million per year.

Site based working experience essential.

Fluent English speaking essential, Dutch preferred.

Beneficial skills:

Any knowledge of / experience with P6.

The client handles construction of multiple sites in the (petro)chemical, oil & gas and renewables sectors; including revamps, modifications and construction on existing and new sites. Your role would be to provide project controls on a capex budget of 50m€+ annually.

The client has a requirement set for the start of Q1 2024 and will be able to interview starting mid-December.

Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
