Project Manager – Technical Support

Job Opportunity – Project Manager (Technical Support) – UK

One of my local authority clients are currently on the lookout for a Project Manager (Technical Support) to join their team on an interim basis on a project until the end of December 2025.

Project Manager (Technical Support)

Contract Length: Until end of December 2025
Location: UK
Pay Rate: DOE
Start Date: September
Hybrid working: X1 day in office per month.

This role will be part time up until the end of December 2024 possibly even the end of March 2024 and will then become full time thereafter up until December 2025.

Duties:

  • Initial duties up until April will be speccing out the project work in advance of April, giving advice and making sure the spec is right with connectivity’s to ensure the transition is well planned, upgrade to the cloud looking to be completed by April time.
  • Following April the project focus will shift to running the project from a technical standpoint, separating systems, transferring data from shared systems with different ledgers/companies on to its own, holding shared services to account so they can deliver on the transition and separation.

Successful candidates must have a wealth of previous experience implementing new financial systems / transferring financial systems within a public sector setting.

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant.
