Quality Inspector/Engineer

g2 is currently looking for a quality inspector/engineer to join our client on a freelance basis to be based in Zeeland, Netherlands. This is a part time freelance opportunity (1-4 days per week)

The client is specifically looking for someone who would be based from their site in Zeeland, with time spent at supplier (equipment) sites for FAT/SATs.

The client is particularly interested in candidates who have worked with experience covering quality inspection, basic welding inspection and inspection for machine safety (Machineveiligheid / Machinerichtlijn).

The client is looking for a Quality Inspector/Engineer who can work with large pieces of structural, materials handling equipment and welding inspection for structural steel.

START: December or January (November is also feasible)

LOCATION: Hybrid Working / Work Site (Central Zeeland), FAT sites and home

DURATION: Two Year Project – Execution Phase started in November

Quality Engineer – QAQC – Engineering, Design, Fabrication

Quality Inspector/Engineer – 5+ Years’ experience

Strong quality systems knowledge, ISO 9001 practical experience (ideally implemented in highly regulated projects)

Quality control and quality assurance understanding

Ideally a knowledge of welding procedures or standards (basic experience is suitable)

Knowledge of Machineveiligheid & Machinerichtlijn (Machine Safety) – RICHTLIJN 2006/42/EG

RICHTLIJN 2006/42/EG (health and safety of machinery – EU Directive)

Knowledge of working with quality supply chain, procurement, supply chain inspection.

Beneficial Skills:

ISO 13001 / 45001 (Beneficial not essential)

Dutch Language Skills

The client is delivering a two year project for new equipment supply into their existing facility, the equipment is primarily large scale fabricated steel, either large storage units or large pieces of materials handing equipment.

Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
