Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

DURATION: 6 Months Freelance


Specification:

  • Create and develop Body-in-White or Battery enclosure components and system requirements and specifications to achieve best-in-class system targets for function, cost, weight, investment, NVH, thermal, structural and crash performance.
  • 3D design and GD&T drawings of complex parts and assemblies.
  • Optimize designs via analytical, numerical, and/or empirical assessments, (DFMEA, fault tree, decision matrices, etc.)
  • Collaborate with teams inside and outside (manufacturing, test, NPI, supply chain, etc.)
  • Support continuous product and process improvement and question industry standards (as well as our own) to continually raise the bar

What You’ll Bring

  • Mechanical engineering educational background or the equivalent.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals in materials and mechanics
  • Strong experience in CAD modeling (experience in CATIA V5/3DX is a plus but not required)
  • Hands-on experience in automotive design and engineering, knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes and lightweight, recyclable and sustainable materials, comparable fields apply as well
  • Demonstrated the ability to supervise a project from technical standpoint
  • Full design cycle experience in relevant field preferred
  • Find joy from solving problems with design solutions
  • Freelance experience in Europe

These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.
