Senior Project Engineer

We are currently looking for a Project Engineer to work on a documentation project for a chemical company in Rotterdam. The client has a need for a project engineer to join them delivering an update project for their as built documentation. This could include documents such as the site plot plan, fire safety plan, site substance inventory and more.

The role will suit a Project Engineer with experience in any process plant industry (oil & gas / chemicals) who comes from an engineering background, and has experience working on the client / asset owner side, working with as-built / in-operation documentation.

Project Engineer Specification:

START: ASAP

LOCATION: Rotterdam

DURATION: 6 month contract (initial, possibility to extend).

Essential Skills:

Project Engineering experience (10-15+ years).

Process or Civil Engineering background preferred but not essential.

Experience with as-built documentation upgrades / improvements.

Ability to handle budget, project scope, planning, and execution.

Experience working on the client / asset owner side, particularly in a BRZO / high hazard environment.

Ability to manage teams, internal / external and oversee engineering contractors.

Beneficial Skills:

Knowledge of site safety / fire safety plans.

Roles are responsibilities:

Stakeholder management during all phases of projects.

Manage Teams, multi-discipline internal & external stakeholders.

Manage engineering contractors during the engineering phases.

Oversee budget, project scope, schedule, and delivery.

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
