Senior Project Manager

Senior Project manager required to work on various international process plant projects. The client has a broad range of projects, primarily within the supply of process plant equipment to be delivered to various clients within the chemical, power and petrochemical sectors.

The client is working on full cradle to grave deliverables with an EPC type framework, but they are happy for any candidates with suitable project delivery experience for equipment suppliers, manufacturers and turnkey solution providers. The client will also consider candidates who have experience with major capital projects within process plant or process type environments.

START: ASAP – April/May starts available

LOCATION: Remote working – one day in the office per week (Offices in West Midlands or East Anglia)

PERMANENT SALARY: £60,000 – £70,000 + package

Specification:

Project Management background

10+ Years of project management or delivery experience

Technical engineering background preferable (Mechanical, EICA or process type background)

Turnkey solution, equipment supplier – process plant/equipment background

Full lifecycle project delivery experience

Management of contracts, cost or resource experience (e.g. NEC3/4, FIDIC, ICE etc..)

The client has a broad range of project deliverables, these are to be delivered for clients both in the UK and internationally. The average value of the projects to be delivered would be between £5 – £20 million with projects values ranging up until £60 million.

Experience working on international projects for long term deliverables such as packaged process plant, process equipment, skid packages or turnkey solutions would be most applicable.

Our Three Pillars of Training

Academy:
Week 1 is a series of remote sessions to learn all things systems, followed by a 1 week academy process which is a mixture of classroom and deskside this will be in one of our UK offices and usually consists of 3-8 other consultants all starting their journey together.

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
