Job Opportunity – Temporary Accommodation Officer – South England
I have an exciting opportunity on my desk as a local authority client of mine within the South of England are seeking a Temporary Accommodation Officer to join their team on an interim basis with their being a potential scope for it to become permanent following depending on your preference.
This role will be hybrid working so you will be required to work X2 days in office per week (9:00am-17:00pm).
You will be responsible for:
- Procurement of accommodation.
- Placement of applicants into accommodation.
- Co-ordinate voids within the temporary accommodation portfolio.
- Conduct risk assessments for suitability of placements.
- Notify other Local Authorities of out of area placements.
- Monitor placements.
- Deal with accommodation invoices.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of 12 months experience doing the above within a local authority setting as there will be an expectancy to be able to hit the ground running.
Successful candidates will also have the ability to apply current housing legislation, statutory instruments, case law and guidance relating to temporary accommodation placements.
