Supporting an international Pharmaceutical company to grow theirEuropean Regulatory Affairs department, in line with their ambitious expansion plans.

 

The Challenge

 
g2 first began working with Tillomed Laboratories at a point when they had already spent three months trying to find a Regulatory Affairs Manager to sit in the European team.
 
Most of the candidates they had seen did not have sufficient technical ability or the all-around experience in the industry, required to lead a team during a period of considerable investment and growth.
 
On top of this, when they did find suitable candidates, a slow recruitment process had meant offers had been delayed and uncompetitive packages had resulted in candidates taking offers elsewhere.

 

With Tillomed frustrated, they sought help from g2.

 

The Solution

 

The first task was market research. This was to see what candidates were available, and what packages Tillomeds competitors were offering. Without doing this, an increase in the package on offer may not necessarily have made the difference.

 

g2 also advised on shortening the recruitment process, speeding up the time it took for CV feedback and confirming a recruitment timeline that Tillomed could commit to, to help in securing any candidates.

 

As g2 has an extensive network in Europe, it actually became apparent that there was a higher quality of candidate available in different European countries, and by broadening the geographical range of the search, new and previously uncontacted candidates were found.

 

By challenging the approach used by Tillomed’s previous recruiters, g2 managed to offer a new solution with only a slight increase in salary, whilst sticking to the brief for the role.

 

The Result

 

After taking time to assess the challenge and develop a close working relationship with Tillomed, g2 were able to fill the role with a very experienced, head hunted candidate from a Pharmaceutical company in Romania (managing the relocation every step of the way).

 

With a critical role filled, g2 continued to support the Director of Regulatory Affairs by providing further Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance professionals for the European team.
 
This allowed the director to focus on a more strategic role and helped the department grow in line with their targets.

 

As a result of this work, g2 is now the preferred European supplier of Tillomed and continues to work on vacancies on an exclusive basis across all departments of their European operations.
