Location – South Wales
Role – Landscape Architect
Duration – 12 Months (but they can foresee the work going on until well past the end of 2025)
Hours – Part- or Full-time hours considered
Rate – Negotiable Per/Hour – this will be umbrella paid.
Working Style – 1-2 days in office/on site within the District for visual impact assessments
Areas of Responsibility:
- Landscape and green infrastructure consultee on planning matters
- Landscape services development feasibility, design and contract management
- Expert witness role on landscape matters
- Input to sustainable travel schemes
- Environmental open space and woodland improvement and management
- Landscape Architecture Services
- Section 106 negotiation for conservation and access
Responsibilities:
- To lead service input on matters relating to landscape architecture and landscape design for the Authority including development, design and implementation of landscape schemes contributing to the improvement and enhancement of the Green Infrastructure within the rural and urban areas of the city.
- To offer specialist advice to the teams within the services area and act as client contact where required.
- To develop and input to relevant strategies and policies in relation to all aspects of the Council’s green infrastructure, countryside, conservation, landscape and recreational access responsibilities.
