Manufacturing Engineer

Fabrication Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer to work with our client based in Bonn, Germany.

The client is looking for a freelance Fabrication Engineer / Process Manufacturing Engineer to join them on a freelance basis in Germany.

The client would use you for pre-fabrication works in their fabrication site, you will be involved with all fabrication and the supervision for installation onsite with piping, pumps, flanges for process plant builds. This role is focused on developing the production techniques for this client.

The role will suit an engineer with a background in mechanical and structural fabrication with steel/heavy materials, skid packages and manufacturing onsite.

LOCATION: Bonn, Germany (West Germany)

START: ASAP – June or July

DURATION: 6 Months

Manufacturing Engineer – Fabrication Engineer – Manufacturing Welding

5+ years’ experience with piping and mechanical fabrication, ideally covering welding

Experience working in heavy industry, energy, petrochemical or chemical plant industries.

Ability to supervisor a team of fitters in the fabrication shop

Process plant background, knowledge of piping, pipe fitting, welding and/or inspection

Experience working with either fabrication or construction teams onsite

English speaking is essential

Duties will include, preparation for construction, checking pre-fabricated items, steel election, pipe fitting, fabrication pre-mobilisation and construction.

The role will also involve the planning of transportation, equipment packing lists, mobilisation from Germany for de-mobilisation internationally. The client is looking to develop a production method which could be rolled out on site for modular builds.

The client is able to interview in June, this would be two stages with a site visit required in Bonn, Germany. The client has a requirement to fill the role at your earliest convenience.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
