Process Engineer

g2 are currently looking for an Intermediate Process Engineer (Chemical Engineer) Opportunity – Future Management Opportunities

Intermediate process engineer who is interested in permanent opportunities in the Netherlands, ideally with a background in chemical, petrochemical, or highly regulated industries, to join our client in Bergen Op Zoom.

The client is a chemical plant operator, and they are looking for a process engineer to join their engineering team to support CAPEX, OPEX, and EPC projects.

The position would be to work on a hybrid basis, with work from a home location and the office.

The client is particularly interested in candidates with experience covering engineering, design, and delivery for complex chemical or petrochemical projects.

LOCATION: Netherlands, Bergen Op Zoom/Zeeland – (Flexible on home-based location)

OFFICE/REMOTE: Flexible work pattern

START:May, June or July 2024

SALARY: €60,000 – €80,000 per annum

The client is primarily looking for long-term, permanent candidates.

The client has the opportunity for the successful candidate to join them and develop into a manager within their organisation.

Essential Skills: Process Engineer; Intermediate Process Engineer

  • Process Engineering and Process Design Engineering Background
  • Understanding of FEED studies, basic engineering and detailed design, and project delivery.
  • Chemical, Petrochemical, and Clean Energy projects
  • Chemical Engineering (or similar) degree


Process Engineering, Modelling, Calculation and Design work

Experience with packages such as Aspen, Hysys or similar packages

Ability to discuss engineering and design work with third-party contractors

Data sheet population, P&IDs, PFDs, equipment specification

Experienced Modules:
These are a variety of sessions curated by us designed to support consultants as they are progressing through the career ladder, the aim is to ensure consultants at all levels have access to L&D.

Junior Management Programme:
Ran by our head of L&D this programme is designed to support junior managers as they start their management career. This involves things like personal branding, time management and ends in a business plan which is presented to members of the Exec board and senior management team.

Kane joined g2 in April 2023 as an Academy & Systems Trainer.

His role involves teaching the consultants that are new to the company the foundations of recruitment and our systems before then helping them to upskill in areas specific to each consultant. Working closely with different consultants and watching them implement the feedback, apply it, and then benefit off the back of it.
