I am currently working with a client within telecommunications looking for an RF Design Engineer to assist them on a contract basis Outside IR35. They are holding immediate interviews, and can start engineers immediately given the correct availability. They require an engineer to come in and deliver the work onsite 4 days a week ideally, with a minimum of 2 expected, in the Cambridge area. This is an Outside IR35 40 hour contract.

- Architect, Design, Develop and Test a 5G NR mmWave 28GHz IQ to RF Radio PCBA capable of a typical 64dBm EIRP and a coherent system Noise Figure of 7dB maximum. Designed to interface to a Baseband PCBA the RF PCBA will convert the IQ to RF and vice-versa. Covering the n260 FR2 band the RF PCBA will be designed to the target specification using key components, beamformers, large array antenna, up down conversion, gain and filtering and frequency generation blocks and implementing a front-end array design by Radientum and utilising an ADI reference design example
- The role will require:
- Gain & Linearity budget analysis for transmitter and receiver
- Thermal performance analysis
- Schematic capture
- PCB layout
- Fabrication (via a 3rd party)
- PCB assembly (via a 3rd party)
