I am currently working with a local authority based in the North West of England who is looking for a Scrutiny and Governance Officer on a locum basis.
The successful locum Scrutiny and Governance will working across the two scrutiny committees and their appointed working groups and developing and managing relationships with councillors, senior officers, and external organisations/bodies. The post holder will provide advice and information and draw upon the Council’s constitution as well as researching issues to help deliver effective scrutiny to help make a real difference.
Requirements:
- Experience within the scrutiny and governance field
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain and interpret complex matters
- Ability to commute to the office 2-3 days per week
The role will be a hybrid working pattern with 2 -3 days in the office with a competetive hourly rate.
